FIRST TEE GOLF CLUB
The First Tee of Richmond, located in Richmond's Northside, is part of a national initiative of the World Golf Foundation. Former President George H.
W. Bush was the keynote speaker at the dedication ceremony. The 3,000 SF clubhouse is the 100th such First Tee facility in North America and features a
Pro Shop, Instructional Area. Snack Bar and Lounge, enclosed Hitting Bays, Sitting Area, and Offices. An open Trellis provides shade for outdoor
eating, and connects to an existing facility renovated for use as the "Kids Pavilion".
The complex is the City's first public Golf Complex, and is designed to reach inner city youth, instructing them in the 5 levels of training in life and golf skills that are all part of the First Tee Program, nationwide.
