FIRE AND RESCUE BUILDING
LOUDON COUNTY, VIRGINIA
An Administration/Classroom Building for fire and rescue training, an Emergency Operations Center, and Youth Offender Facilities are primary components of the 92 acre Government Services Complex master planned by the DG Group. The 24,000 square-foot Fire/EOS facility includes training and classroom spaces, all fire and rescue divisional offices, auditorium, locker rooms, and a separate Burn Building. The compartmentalized plan of the Fire/EOS Facility groups various divisions of fire and rescue into organized modules of space, all linked by a glass enclosed concourse. Skylights and glass block accordingly contribute to an open, uncluttered atmosphere for the building's primary functions:communications and learning.
